The centre speaker in a surround sound set plays – quite literally – a central role. The centre is responsible for speech intelligibility with dialogue, but atmospheric noises and spatial effects such as reverberation and echo are also played back by the centre. The centre endows the picture with a sonic foundation and plays a significant role in creating the effect of 3-dimensional sound. A positioning of the centre as closely as possible to the screen is ideal advantage so that dialogue is heard to emanate from the middle of the picture. The H 600 CF for the Theater 6 Hybrid makes setup easier than ever. With a depth of just 12.5 cm, it’s easy to place directly on a wall, either beneath or above the display. Wall mounts are integrated onto the back and the connection panel is recessed so that cables can be easily accommodated. The centre can, of course, be placed on the optional stand AC 7011 SP. The H 600’s contemporary look is reminiscent of a soundbar – slender and elegant. The broad form ensures the required volume for full, rich and natural playback. Thanks to intelligent audio design, the H 600 manages to unite easy room integration with excellent sound quality.
